What is Fitrana?
Fitrana (also called Zakat al-Fitr or Sadaqat al-Fitr) is a mandatory charity given at the end of Ramadan before Eid prayer. It serves two purposes: purifying the fasting person from any shortcomings during Ramadan, and ensuring the poor can also celebrate Eid with dignity.
